This is an old illo of mine, but it’s one of my faves. I like it because every time I look at it I come up with a new story to go along.
Today when I looked at it, I decided that the girl is training her worm for the circus. The worm recites Elizabethan Poetry while chewing granola.
Every time I look at this I also wonder why did I put Chicago in the background? Hmmm…
Why DID you put Chicago in the background? I love it, since this is where I am from. I think it is a fun little detail in the painting. Go Sox! : )
Well, I am *from* Chicago so that may have had something to do with it, but I still can’t be sure. ;)
I’ve loved the Chicago skyline since my 4th grade field trip to downtown. When I went to art school there it was like being in Oz.
