One of the things I enjoy most about Illustration Friday is the ability to just mess around with my art. It’s been good a good excuse for me to explore, trying new looks and methods. Too often I’m so concerned with getting that consistent Sparky Firepants “look” for my portfolio.
Rightfully so, because it’s what clients expect and how I make my living, but those styles only came from messing about in the first place.
Well, that was fun.
Back to work! It’s such a grindstone, this whole drawing thing.

I agree, IF is a great place to just mess around with ideas and have fun. I’m not lucky enough to draw for a living…yet, but I do design. As fun as designing can be, you do get tired of doing what others want. So this is nice!

You see, I am torn. While I love the design of your portfolio site (the personality of it is awesome), if you want to be found organically through searches, you have to find a way to add some HTML text. We do this everyday and have case study after case study that shows improved rankings.
I was mostly thinking of people’s Myspace pages. :)
