Already belong to SCBWI. (Or did. I let my membership lapse.) : (

In fact, went to their national conference in NYC a few years back and got to shop my middle grade novel around with editors, agents. Very cool experience! I’m also a graduate of the University of Washington Writing for Children Certificate Program. Just need to apply the seat of the pants to the chair now.

I don’t know what to say. I am still shopping my picture book around (Simon and Schuster held the manuscript for nine month before sending me the nicest rejection letter I’ve ever gotten), but (even though they say don’t submit it with your pre-conceived illustrations), I REALLY want you to do the illustrations!

Your card is amazing and thanks for sharing the “rough draft” on twitter! Lucky people who get one of these!

And I love this card! Unfortunately we ordered our cards, but we do them through UNICEF, and they have kids on them as well. It’s a good cause!
