Though the extra exposure would be great..! Like you had said about the companies people depend on... You can&#039;t! If you don&#039;t rely on your own abilities then...</description>

I&#039;ve been following the self-pub discussions for some time, but was stuck on the &quot;real authors don&#039;t self-publish&quot; rung of the ladder. He turned my thinking on its head when he said that the Manhattan publishers route was vanity, too, because people can say, &quot;Harcourt published MY book!&quot;.

I had to admit that I saw myself reflected in that mirror and didn&#039;t like what I saw. (The old, &quot;Anyone with a few bucks can self-publish. But you have to be GOOD to be accepted by the editors at the big houses.&quot;

Now I need to go check out Mark Silver&#039;s stuff and Jon&#039;s comments. Keep up the good work, David.</description>
