<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">Personal ads.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I learned about writing a personal ad from Havi Brooks of Fluent Self. Her destuckification techniques are used all over the world and her blog is full of crunchy insights and chewy nuggets of inspiration.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">If you want to go away for a bit and go read her stuff, I won't be offended. She's that awesome.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">So her personal ad idea is wacky, right? Yeah – except that we're all about the wacky here. You knew that, right? If this is your first time here, now you know. It gets weird sometimes. If it doesn't get weird it gets boring and I can't abide boring.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">So I never tried the personal ad thing. It was always a "someday I'll try that" kinda thing. I looked at my calendar and it happens that today actually is Someday.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">So I wrote one. And I'm sharing it, which means you get to open up my head and look inside. Don't unhook anything. Thanks.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">A Tiny Sparky Personal Ad for the Workshop</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">So I'm hosting this really fun client management workshop in November in Phoenix. I need some stuff.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">What I Want</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I need 20 fun-loving, talented, awesome creative freelancers and biz owners to attend and become amazing client management experts.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">They all have or appreciate a wacky, goofy, off-the-wall sense of humor and like learning new stuff about working with people.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">These people will leave the workshop feeling energetic and excited about their business, with awesome new ideas about working with people.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">They'll go back to work with these extraordinary epiphanies about how to make their clients adore them.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">They will feel free and not tied to this greasy client slave chain.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">How this could work</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I could tweet and post about it in a helpful, non-disgusting way.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">My network of awesomeness could refer the right people to the workshop.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">My readers could say, "That's for me!" and climb on board.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">My readers could send people to me who say, "That's for me!"</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I could contact some creative biz-type groups on Phoenix and let them know this is coming up soon.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">My Commitment</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I'll prepare the most amazing content I can. I'll take my wacky-yet-works client management know-how and turn it into a Fantastic Learning Experience. It will be part entertainment and part interactive learning.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I'll reserve the coolest venue in Phoenix I can find. Design-ey. Nice colors. Light. People with beards and knee-high socks.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I'll prepare take-home materials so they can keep improving as they work with clients going forward.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I'll make myself available for lunch afterwards and create some one-on-one phone time with anyone who wants personal attention.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">I will sing in public.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">So that's it. My ad. Let's see what happens next. I promise I'll share.</div>
<p>We all have these little things we do that make stuff happen. Rituals. Processes, practices, perambulators of personal progress.</p>
<p>Personal ads. Wait. Huh?</p>
<p>I learned about writing a <a href="http://www.fluentself.com/blog/stuff/an-itty-bitty-personal-ad/" target="_self"><strong>personal ad from Havi Brooks of Fluent Self</strong>.</a> Her destuckification techniques are used all over the world and her blog is full of crunchy insights and chewy nuggets of inspiration.</p>
<p><em>If you want to leave for a bit and go read her stuff, I won't be offended. She's that awesome.</em></p>
<p>So her personal ad idea is wacky, right? Yeah – except that we're all about the wacky here. You knew that, right? If this is your first time here, now you know. It gets weird sometimes. If it doesn't get weird it gets boring and I can't abide boring.</p>
<p>So I never tried the personal ad. I figured I would try that kinda thing Someday. I looked at iCal and it happens that today actually <em>is </em>Someday. How serendipitous.</p>
<p>So I wrote one. And I'm sharing it, which means you get to open up my head and look inside. Don't unhook anything. Thanks.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #003300;">A Tiny Sparky Personal Ad for the Workshop</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">So I'm hosting this </span><a href="http://sparkyfirepants.com/arttraining.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #003300;">really fun client management workshop</span></a><span style="color: #003300;"> in November in Phoenix. I need a few things to make it work.</span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #003300;">What I Want</span></strong></h3>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I need 20 fun-loving, talented, awesome creative freelancers and biz owners to attend and become amazing client management experts.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #003300;">They don't mind a little Weird Al Yankovic-style singing or the use of puppets.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">They'll go back to work with these extraordinary epiphanies about how to make their clients adore them.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">They will feel free, emancipated, and not tied to a greasy client slave chain.</span></p>
<h3><span style="color: #003300;">How this could work</span></h3>

<p><span style="color: #003300;">My readers could say, "That's for me!" and climb on board.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">My readers could send people my way who say, "That's for me!"</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I could contact some creative biz-type groups in Phoenix and let them know this is coming up soon.</span></p>
<h3><span style="color: #003300;">My Commitment</span></h3>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I'll prepare the most amazing content I can. I'll take my odd-as-hell-yet-it-works client management know-how and turn it into a Fantastic Learning Experience. It will be part entertainment and part interactive learning.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I'll reserve the coolest venue in Phoenix I can find. Design-ey. Nice colors. Light. People with beards and knee-high socks for atmosphere.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I will supply a breakfast of champions. It will include chocolate of some kind.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I'll prepare take-home materials so they can keep improving as they work with clients going forward.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I'll make myself available for lunch afterwards and create some one-on-one phone time with anyone who wants personal attention.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">I will sing in public.</span></p>
<p>So that's it. My ad. Let's see what happens next. I promise I'll share.</p>
<p><em>Quick update: I used some of personal ad to create my </em><a href="http://sparkyfirepants.com/rockyourclients.html" target="_blank"><strong><em>sign-up page</em></strong></a><em>. Bonus</em>.</p>
